Elusive bald eagles, black-tailed deer,  river otters and freshwater clams inhabit this area. Two unique varieties of trout, Beardslee (rainbow) and Crescenti (cutthroat), are found only in Lake Crescent. The interface of water and land creates a diversity of wildlife habitats.
